Alcor is a family of cabinets, sideboards and consolesmarked by rigorous aesthetic paired with precious wood surfaces, expression of the excellence of Maxalto’s artisan processes. Offered in different configurations, dimensions and heights, with hinged and flap doors, drawers and open compartments, these pieces have an inlaid damier checker board pattern in variouswoods to choose from: tineo, natural wenge and oak in the various finishes included in the collection (light brushed, black brushed, grey and smoked oak).
Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in Meda in 1950 and today lives and works in Milan. He graduated in architecture at the Politecnico of Milan and from 1972 he has worked for leading manufacturers Vitra, Flexform, Flos, Iittala, Kartell and Arclinea. He has an ongoing role as art director for Maxalto and is the architect behind the group's retail showrooms around the world. In 2007 he received the Royal Designer for Industry award from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in London.
